Validity tracked per party

Every distributor and stockist carries their license validity dates in the system, checked against the shipment about to leave.

Flagged before dispatch

An approaching or lapsed license surfaces before a dispatch is allowed, not in an audit weeks later when goods have already moved.

Renewal lead time

Renewals due inside the warning window are raised early, so a lapse is a scheduled task rather than a blocked shipment.

Worked example

One license, from valid to held to cleared.

  1. License valid, dispatches clear

    -45 days

    Distributor holds a valid license for the zone. Shipments pass the compliance check without friction.

  2. Renewal window opens

    -21 days

    The license is now inside its renewal window. It's flagged amber with the exact expiry date shown, so renewal can start early.

  3. Still unrenewed, dispatch flagged

    -2 days

    A dispatch is queued to this distributor. Because the license is about to lapse, the shipment is held for review rather than sent.

  4. Renewed, dispatch released

    Day 0

    The renewed license is recorded, validity extended, and the held dispatch clears the compliance check automatically.

An honest note on coverage

Regulatory frameworks differ by region, and licensing rules change. Canfrox tracks the license data and validity dates you maintain and flags them against dispatch - it does not claim to encode every regulator's ruleset everywhere. Coverage for a specific region or framework is confirmed during onboarding, not assumed. Where a framework isn't yet modelled, the system still tracks validity dates and raises lapses; it simply won't assert rule-level interpretation it can't stand behind.
